Doors Open St. Thomas to include Elevated Park

Good news for all those unable to attend the sold out Elevated Picnic. Doors Open St. Thomas, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, will include FREE access to the MCR bridge over Kettle Creek, future home of the St. Thomas Elevated Park.

The bridge will be open all day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Visitors will get spectacular views of Kettle Creek in full fall colours. Members of the On Track board will also be there to give the history of the bridge and to discuss the vision of creating Canada's first elevated park.

As with the Elevated Picnic, there will be a shuttle service from King and Centre Streets to the bridge deck for those with mobility issues.

Doors Open St. Thomas is organized by the City of St. Thomas through its economic development and tourism department. For further information about this year's line up of Doors Open sites, visit  http://www.doorsopenontario.on.ca/Events/St-Thomas.aspx.
